Body and Soul.
Life isn't always perfect and nor are we, but we are responsable for our health and wellbeing.
As our lives become so busy we tend to place our personal wellbeing at the bottom of our list of priorities, holding other commitments before our own health and wellbeing. I believe that no matter how busy our lives may get we should take time out to focus on our personal wellbeing, enjoying and being greatful for all things in our livies. This is why I have used the social media Youtube to create my own Channel of videos that display ways in which we can cook, exercise and chill, nutering the mind body and soul.
Youtube is a global online public communications site that provides a place for people to network, inform and inspire others. Youtube offers people the ability to watch, share and subscribe to films, it also allows people to create their own channel were one can browse, upload and store videos allowing them to comment, like or dislike recordings.
Youtube is a fantastic social media that is easy to use and creating your own channel is really quite simple,
all you have to do is:
- Type http://www.youtube.com/ into your search engine
- This will then take you to the Youtube homepage.
- Once you are on the homepage you will see a blue rectangular icon that say's 'create account' on the toolbar to the left of the page. Click on this icon and follow the steps.
- To create a channel you will also need a google account, but don't worry as this is included in the steps and all you have to do is decide on a gmail address and password.
- If you like you can add a photo to your profile which can be done buy clicking on the 'browse' icon and selecting a photo from your computer and uploading it to your profile, this is also explained in the steps.
My Youtube channel features clips from the ABC television program 'River Cottage', with Hugh Fearnley. Hugh is an incredable cook who captures his audience through highlighting the importance of using organic, fresh, homegrown produce to cook homely, nutritiouse meals (soul food) . Hugh creates simple, easy, dishes proving to his viewers that cooking can be enjoyable, and that we should pay particular attention to what type of food we eat. I have also included some fast fat burning exercises to get the heart pumping creating a feel good vibe. You will also find some films on meditation and relaxation, taking some much needed time out to rest and rejuvinate our mind, body and soul.
